About the Role

We're seeking an accomplished Backend Developer to join our engineering team on a freelance basis. You'll work independently on key backend integrations, collaborating closely with tech leads on projects involving financial and crypto partners.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy high-quality backend systems using Kotlin, Java, or other JVM-based languages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Develop robust software architectures, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development.
  • Work autonomously with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Overlapping at least 80% of your time with US Mountain Standard Time (MST).

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and backend system architecture.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Startup experience in regulated or correctness-critical industries (e.g., fintech, healthcare, banking, airlines).
  • Familiarity with crypto/financial partner integrations.
