We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Energy Sector Analyst

About the Position

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of the energy sector, with experience in corporate strategy, asset portfolio quality and alignment, peer benchmarking, valuation, and the energy transition.

This position requires a high level of resourcefulness, with the ability to call on a wide range of sources to inform analysis. Strong data manipulation skills and the ability to work efficiently are essential.

Candidates must be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team, developing integrated market stories that are objective and data-driven.

This role involves regular client communication to help them navigate their workflow and identify emerging trends.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to share complex information with diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • BUILD AND LEVERAGE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE NETWORKS TO FEED INTO ANALYSIS
  • COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH CLIENTS AND INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS
  • IDENTIFY EMERGING TRENDS AND DEVELOP MARKET VIEWS
  • PRIORITIZE WORKLOAD TO MEET CLIENT NEEDS
  • STAY UP-TO-DATE WITH INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENTS AND BEST PRACTICES
Requirements
  • A Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, geosciences, economics, or finance
  • Industry experience: 2 to 10 years in upstream oil and gas, oilfield services, energy finance, or investment, or strategy consulting
  • Expertise in economic or financial modeling and advanced data analysis using PowerBI, PowerQuery, Python, or R
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
