Purpose/Role

The Junior Energy Analyst's role is to support the Market Intelligence Manager in the delivery of EICDataStream and eventually other related Market Intelligence products for the North and Central America region.

Key Aims and Objectives

  • To research and analyse multiple energy sectors in North and Central America and contribute directly to EICDataStream and other related Market Intelligence products.
  • Support the North and Central America Regional Director in preparing presentations/delivering presentations where relevant.

Prime Responsibilities and Duties

  • Continually work towards acquiring a high-level understanding of multiple energy sectors across North and Central America.
  • Research and analyse project, industry and business-related intelligence relevant to O&G, Energy Transition, Electrical sectors that can be added to EICDataStream. Ensure that all information is to the highest standards of quality, accuracy and is provided in a timely manner.
  • Responsibility for EICDataStream data relating to the O&G, Energy Transition, Electrical sectors and ensuring that regular QC checks of the information are undertaken. Inform the Market Intelligence Manager of any gaps in the data and assist in identifying ways of reducing these gaps.
  • As directed, work closely with the Product Development team to test and deliver upgrades and enhancements to EICDataStream and other related Market Intelligence products.
  • Where appropriate and as directed, establish good working relationships with relevant external organisations including UK based operators and EPC contractors, DBT and DESNZ.
  • Establish good working relationships with Member companies.
  • As required, attend EIC commercial and technical meetings and present where relevant.
  • Attend where appropriate and within the budget disciplines, relevant seminars, conferences and workshops.
  • To monitor market trends and highlight new developing areas that would be of benefit to EIC Members.
  • Provide resource and write related Insight Reports.

Allied Occasional Duties

  • Support the National Events, International Trade & Membership and Marketing Teams as required.
  • Support Head of External Affairs in responding to government policy papers.
  • Support EIC Consult in delivery of reports to clients.
  • As directed, exercise other relevant duties that the department may require.
