Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Compliance Expert to lead our efforts in Regulatory Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Brazil. As a key member of our global Compliance leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable Brazilian regulations and aligning with our global standards.

This role combines statutory accountability with strategic leadership, overseeing financial crime risk management across Brazil, engaging directly with regulators, partner banks, and internal stakeholders to safeguard our operations.

You will be responsible for regulatory filings, serving as the primary point of contact with Brazilian regulators and partner banks, and ensuring alignment of our Brazilian compliance framework with our global standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
    • Act as our designated MLRO in Brazil, including responsibility for regulatory filings.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact with Brazilian regulators and partner banks.
    • Ensure alignment of our Brazilian compliance framework with our global standards and policies.
  • Financial Crime & AML Framework:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain AML/CTF methodology tailored to the Brazilian market.
    • Conduct country-level risk assessments, identifying gaps and implementing scalable controls.
  • Controls, Testing & Audit:
    • Lead AML/CTF internal control reporting, fraud oversight, and periodic risk reviews.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in senior compliance roles within regulated institutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Brazilian financial regulation, including Central Bank licensing and COAF reporting.
  • Proven experience managing AML/CTF frameworks in cross-border payments and remittances.
  • Strong knowledge of correspondent banking, FI, and Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) clients in the Americas.
