Job Description

The role of Regulatory Compliance Specialist is to ensure the company's activities align with local laws and regulations. This involves monitoring regulatory environments, identifying areas of non-compliance, and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct GAP analysis to identify regulatory shortfalls and develop action plans for remediation;
  • Monitor and review regulatory developments, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on necessary actions;
  • Ensure stakeholders are informed of updates to the legislative and regulatory framework, with training provided as needed;
  • Assist in periodic reviews of policies and training to ensure compliance with applicable regulations;
  • Develop technical knowledge of regulatory frameworks governing the company and its activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with financial institutions or law firms handling compliance matters related to AML and payments services legislation.

  • Understanding of AML regulations and payments services legislation within the banking/financial services industry;
  • Ability to distill important information from regulatory guidance and determine its impact on the business;
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience interacting with local regulators is an asset.
