The Compliance Analyst II is responsible for supporting the company in ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and managing internal controls. This role involves monitoring and reviewing regulatory developments, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on necessary actions.
Responsibilities- Conduct GAP analysis of applicable laws and regulations to identify areas of non-compliance or partial compliance.
- Monitor and review all developments within the regulatory environment of the business.
- Ensure that any updates to the legislative and regulatory framework are communicated to all stakeholders and training provided if required.
- Assist with the periodic review of policies and training ensuring they are compliant with the applicable regulatory regime.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with a financial institution or a law firm handling compliance matters relating to AML and licensing.
- Understanding of AML regulations and payments services legislation within the banking/financial services industry.
- Ability to distill and discern important information from regulatory guidance, statutes and regulations, audit findings, and other documents.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload under pressure.
