Early Years Learning Support Role

">Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant in our Early Years setting, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality learning experiences for young children. Your role will involve supporting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities that cater to the diverse needs of our students.

You will work closely with the teaching staff to plan and implement educational programs that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in our young learners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers in the classroom to enhance learning outcomes;
  • Supporting the distribution and collection of materials, ensuring a smooth flow of educational activities;
  • Participating in the implementation of pedagogical projects at the school;
  • Maintaining a well-organized and safe classroom environment;
  • Ensuring student safety during activities and events;
  • Providing support to students during meal times and accompanying them on outings;
  • Managing the class in the absence or temporary unavailability of the head teacher;
  • Recording student activities through videos and photos, and sharing them with the teacher within established deadlines;
  • Attending academic meetings, conferences, and workshops to maintain and improve professional competence;
  • Participating in school events open to families and maintaining Red House's general guidelines (Language Policy, Teachers' Handbook, Assessment Policy).
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Two years of classroom experience;
  • Early Childhood education experience (2 to 5 years old students);
  • Bilingualism;
  • Classroom management skills;
  • Knowledge in Child Development is desirable.
