The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in developing the AI engine for our WillowTree platform, Fuel iX. This platform enables enterprises to manage and accelerate AI-fueled intelligent experiences.

Location and Flexibility

This is a hybrid role that requires the ability to work from one of our offices in São Paulo or Porto Alegre on a part-time basis. Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members local and visiting from other global offices.

Qualifications

  • You have a strong background in professional engineering, with at least 5 years of experience building digital products and 2 years of experience leading a team.
  • You have managed a team of software engineers building digital products and have been responsible for growing the people on the team through goal-setting, coaching, and feedback.
  • You are comfortable having difficult conversations and always have your clients' and teammates' best interests in mind.
  • You have familiarity with CI/CD, Agile techniques for managing work, pairing, mobbing, and shift-left testing.
  • You have owned the delivery of a complete digital product, with code that is durable, secure, scalable, and thoroughly tested.
  • You can simplify and communicate about complex problems around technology, business processes, user experience, and development tasks.
  • You have worked on AI product development or have knowledge on AI development best practices.
