
Strategic Business Development Professional

At Vela, our M&A deal origination team is on the hunt for a top business development professional to spearhead our acquisitions.
This individual will need to balance sales acumen with financial know-how to drive business growth and co-ordinate critical aspects of the M&A transaction lifecycle in a C-level facing role.
Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying potential M&A company targets and opportunities, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and adding new prospects to our database of industry contacts.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in M&A sourcing, SaaS business development, enterprise sales, investor relations, or entrepreneurship/start-up.
Key skills include exceptional business sense, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency in deal sourcing and cold outreach. Travel may be required on occasion.
- Identify and qualify potential M&A company targets and opportunities
- Establish and maintain relationships with CEOs, business owners, senior executives, brokers, PE & VC funds, and other stakeholders
- Nurture attractive M&A opportunities through the deal sourcing pipeline
- Add new prospects to our proprietary database of industry contacts
