Lead Logistics Operations Manager Job Overview

As a lead logistics operations manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of our logistics division.

You will work closely with the management team to develop and implement strategies that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead day-to-day operations and provide support to the management team.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing policies and programs to guide the organization in maintaining its competitive position and profitability.
  • Manage operations performance to ensure key performance indicators and financial targets are achieved.
  • Oversee distribution operation processes including receiving, storage, order filling, packing, shipping, quality control, inspection, inventory counts, and related functions.
  • Develop and implement operational changes to improve performance.
  • Prepare budget and objectives and various reports.
  • Build a collaborative relationship with dealers, suppliers, contractors, internal customers, process partners, and the community.
  • Responsible for all employee-related activities of the facility.
  • Work with HR Manager to recruit, select, develop, and train staff.
  • Maintain site property and oversee maintenance and janitorial services.
  • Purchase and maintain equipment, vehicles, and procure office and storeroom supplies.
  • Work with management team to develop/review operational procedures and quality plans to ensure the operation complies with local government requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned by management from time-to-time.
