The Role
  • You will be at the forefront of technical operations, performing batch tasks, analyzing issues across systems, and resolving or routing them as necessary.
  • You will have opportunities to develop support system management processes tailored to customer needs, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Your Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain backup software;
  • Manage and maintain backup infrastructure (storage, tape library, cloud, etc);
  • Develop and enforce defined backup policies;
  • Implement best practices (configuration, administrative processes, etc);
  • Plan and execute backup changes;
  • Manage capacity needed for backup execution;
  • Monitor performance indicators for backup solutions;
  • Establish proactive backup monitoring;
  • Create new components/changes to the backup tool;
  • Bulk up capacity solutions for backup repositories (storage, tape, cloud, etc);
  • Design and implement new backup routines;
  • Implement backup immutability;
  • Ensure backup integrity checks;
  • Implement backup redundancy and offsite capabilities;
  • Plan and execute upgrades activities.
Requirements
  • Experience with scheduling software, reporting, and logging;
  • Proficiency in Operating Systems (Windows or Mac).
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Troubleshooting, Backup/Recovery, and Basic Networking;
  • Desirable knowledge in internal tools such as: Maximo, CAR, RCP, and Spectrum Protect.
