Cloud Engineering Leadership Opportunity

Caylent, a global leader in cloud native services, seeks an experienced Director to spearhead its Cloud Native Applications Practice. This role will be pivotal in guiding project delivery, supporting escalations, and collaborating with clients and sales leaders to create innovative solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and execute the strategic vision for the Cloud Native Applications Practice, aligning with company objectives and AWS best practices.
  • Develop and promote industry-leading methodologies, frameworks, and architectures for cloud-native solutions.
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, architects, and consultants, fostering innovation and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the successful execution of customer engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering and software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling an engineering practice or department, ideally within an AWS-focused services company.
  • Deep expertise in AWS services, architectures, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients across various industries.
  • Experience working with cross-practice teams (talent, sales, marketing, operations, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS Certifications.
  • Experience working in a client-facing environment.
  • Experience working in consulting or professional services.
