Leads production activities to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements production strategies in collaboration with management.
  • Plans and oversees production operations, establishing priorities for efficient execution and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinates production with procurement, maintenance, and quality control teams.
  • Reviews and analyzes reports on production, quality control, maintenance, and operations to identify and address nonconformities and production issues.
  • Develops procedures to eliminate operational problems and enhance product quality.
  • Adjusts production schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operational issues.
  • Consults with engineering personnel to modify machinery and equipment for improved production and product quality.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Supervises employees as directed.
Requirements:
  • 5-10 years of experience in wood products manufacturing at a supervisory or superintendent level.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of achieving goals and managing safety performance.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of performance management and continuous improvement processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of optimization equipment and processes.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to lead change initiatives.
  • A background in maintenance is considered an asset.
