We are seeking a seasoned Government Affairs professional to join our team in Brazil.

This individual will play a pivotal role in supporting the Government Affairs Team to enhance and implement strategies, action plans, and procedures aimed at fortifying relationships with key government stakeholders across local, state, and federal levels.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that supports various business areas in growing products and services portfolios in Brazil, while navigating complex policy issues affecting our operations.

Our Government Affairs Team is an integral part of our international external affairs organization, spanning 15+ markets worldwide, and covering government affairs, communications, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the development of relationships with key government stakeholders, including industry groups and associations;
  • Track and influence legislative initiatives impacting our operations;
  • Liaise with consultants and trade associations;
  • Conduct research, draft materials, and provide expert advice;
  • Partner with other business functions to launch new products and respond to crises;
  • Represent the company in forums, associations, and government activities such as meetings with policymakers.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience in government affairs, preferably in both government/political and corporate/consultancy environments;
  • Global experience ideal; working for U.S. or Chinese tech companies a plus;
  • Native Brazilian Portuguese language skills and excellent written and spoken English.
