Job Title

Aerial Imaging Operations Manager is responsible for developing and managing flight operation activities to ensure industry leadership in image & data capture capabilities.

The primary function of the incumbent is to ensure safety, remote pilot training, mission planning with Ops Coordinators, forecasting equipment requirements & specifications, regulatory compliance, company policy, technology development/testing and logistical support.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to allocate resources efficiently
  • Provide estimates for Flight Operations level of effort and cost to maintain adequate capacity and capabilities
  • Determine collection strategy based on project requirements
  • Support project scoping and requirements
  • Ensure pilots are trained on standardized workflows and defined safety practices
  • Supervise internal and contractor pilots, including quality performance checks and adherence to safety practices
  • Monitor long-term pilot scheduling and plan for additional resources as required
  • Maintain and publish current statuses using an effective pilot/mission tool
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering
  • 3-5 years work experience in a fast-paced environment, preferably in energy industry (renewables, oil & gas)
  • Experience managing a global team of enterprise-grade UAV pilots
  • Industry recognized Certifications and/or training would be highly regarded
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
