This role involves traveling to various locations to collect blood donations from volunteer donors in a safe and compassionate manner. The expected hourly wage is competitive, starting at $18.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement based on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional donor experiences by utilizing job skills and knowledge.
- Process donors through their donation process using computer systems, including screening and phlebotomy.
- Maintain donor safety by adhering to all Blood Center standard procedures and regulatory standards.
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
- 6 months' experience in a Blood Center or healthcare environment is desired.
- 1 year of customer service experience is also preferred.
- Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and communicate fluently in English.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office are necessary.
- Hours vary daily based on blood drive schedules and may include early mornings, late nights, and on-call shifts.
- Staff work a variable schedule, which includes weekends and holidays, with two weeks' advance notice.
