Job Title: Direct Procurement Specialist

Syngenta Seeds is a leading developer and producer of seeds for farmers, commercial producers, retailers, and small seed businesses. Our seeds improve crop quality and yield. Our advanced seeds help mitigate risks such as diseases and droughts and enable farmers to grow food using less land, water, and inputs.

Job Description

As a Direct Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering company targets through negotiations with suppliers, generating savings in the portfolio, risk mitigation, and sustainable results:

  • Act as a business partner to the BR/PY Team, supporting them in their strategy and execution of the business plan.
  • Provide local market information and international market trends.
  • Negotiate commercial conditions and contracts, maintain relationships with current suppliers, and prospect new ones, measure key performance indicators to guarantee Service Level Agreements, carrying out periodic reviews with a focus on meeting the defined goals.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationship management - implementation of SRM process with strategic suppliers.
  • Develop Sourcing Strategies for key suppliers in the portfolio.
  • Analyze economic indexes to support, together with the controller, the construction of the budget and monitoring throughout the year.
  • Manage risk with service providers in BR/PY, ensure compliance across all Direct Procurement activities.
  • Guarantee compliance of the Brazil/PY Direct Procurement Policy, and usage of the established tools.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related courses.
  • Experience in Direct Procurement (strategic category planning, strategic sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management).
  • Desirable: experience with MS Smart Sheets and Power BI, MS Teams & Excel.
  • Experience in Productivity, Efficiency Project Management.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge through writing policies, technical reports, and training.
  • Business ethics, SOX, and corporate governance.
  • Desirable Experience with Agribusiness and strong interest in Syngenta's business (Seeds).
  • Desirable profile and experience of collaboration in the search for innovation, creative solutions, automation, and digitization of processes.
  • Project Management and Continuous Improvement Analysis Tools ex PDCA, LEAN, Root Cause Analysis (desirable).
  • Advanced English.
