Job Opportunity
This is a mid-senior level, full-time position that will support the Global Emerging Markets Business Unit franchise to achieve its goals by leading and directing activities aimed at bringing about changes in clinical practice to increase adoption of Convatec brands, products, and services.
About the Role
- The role has a global remit but will focus on key markets and treatment venues. It requires setting up and maintaining strong networks internally and externally focused on current and future clinical practice.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive the GEM Medical Affairs strategy in LATAM by driving robust KOL Management Strategy, fostering strong Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships, facilitating KOL engagements in Med Affairs initiatives, providing high-quality medical and scientific expertise, establishing and strengthening relationships with key opinion leaders, medical societies, and other relevant stakeholders, contributing to scientific articles, abstracts, and outcomes-based presentations and publications, developing a comprehensive medical education plan, steering medical education & training, aligning and informing the global evidence generation strategy, accountable for the evidence generation strategy planning and execution.
Requirements
- A degree in nursing – Wound and Ostomy Care is preferred. Candidates having a MD / PhD in life sciences degree may be considered.
- Strong command in Spanish, Portuguese, and proficiency in English (speaking and written) is desirable.
- Previous experience in the medical device, biotechnology, and tissue biologics of the healthcare industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Wound, Ostomy, and/or Continence care therapeutic landscape, with a strong understanding of Latin American medical landscape is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical trial design, and evidence generation in LATAM.
- Expertise in scientific communication, including publications, conference presentations, and medical education.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and written skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales and marketing leadership.
