Job Responsibilities
  • Lead a customer-focused team of tax professionals and drive the seasonal tax business by managing a single tax office.
  • Develop associates to deliver exceptional client service and achieve office growth objectives.
  • Oversee daily activities to ensure timely completion with attention to quality, priorities, and goals; manage associate schedules and timekeeping.
  • Conduct daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
  • Serve as front-line manager for onboarding, development, and performance of tax office staff; prepare tax returns as required.
  • Address onsite escalated client service concerns and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Create schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
  • Support recruiting and interviewing for tax office roles and assist in developing local partnerships and community involvement.
  • Collaborate with the District General Manager to implement office-level growth plans.
  • Drive the office to meet growth objectives and foster a positive, engaging team environment.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; supervisory experience.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course if preparing tax returns.
  • Annual continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Customer-centric mindset; passionate, determined, and resilient.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and adapt to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
