Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned customs professional to join our team. As a Senior Customs Analyst, you will play a critical role in maximizing profitability and minimizing risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide visibility of customs costs for GM Brazil, supporting monthly/annual closing, budget planning, and financial reports.
  • Maximize special regime benefits while ensuring full compliance.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customs brokers and internal partners, guiding import/export transactions and master data quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects that reduce duty expenditures and automate processes.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities related to import and export flows, ensuring timely completion and legal compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Accounting, Economics, Logistics, or related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience in customs or trade compliance, including import and export operations.
  • Proven track record with Brazilian special regimes (preferably RECOF) and customs financial controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills, working knowledge of SAP, Siscomex, and data-visualization tools.
  • Solid grounding in HS classification, FTA rules, valuation, and export-control concepts.
