Job Title: Senior Customs Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced customs specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing complete visibility of customs costs, supporting monthly/annual closing, budget planning, and the preparation of highly accurate financial reports.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert knowledge on customs regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maximize the benefits of special regimes (RECOF, Drawback, Ex-Tariff, Temporary Admission) to minimize duty expenditures.
  • Act as the primary liaison with customs brokers and internal partners, guiding import/export transactions, master data quality, and broker performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects that reduce duty expenditures, enhance free trade agreement (FTA) qualification, and automate processes.
  • Monitor and coordinate activities related to import and export flows to ensure timely completion and accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Accounting, Economics, Logistics or related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience in customs or trade compliance, including import and export operations.
  • Proven track record with Brazilian special regimes (preferably RECOF) and customs financial controls.
  • Advanced Excel skills, working knowledge of SAP, Siscomex, and data-visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Solid grounding in HS classification, FTA rules, valuation, and export-control concepts.
