Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Senior Associate to join our team. This role will involve working closely with the operations management of financial and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide support in finance and operations management by ensuring effective operations and efficient use of funds. This includes:

  • Contributing to the financial planning of project start-up and closeout;
  • Serving as a liaison between corporate services and team leaders of projects;
  • Supporting efforts to ensure project levels of delegated authority are in accordance with company policies;
  • Establishing project charge codes, ensuring they are fit for purpose and meet project requirements for cost allocation;
  • Preparing commercial budget proposals;
  • Leading development of project budgets;
  • Ensuring adherence to the project financial calendar;
  • Leading monthly monitoring of expenditures against budgets and monthly project forecasting;
  • Ensuring all payments (field vouchers) are considered on the project's transaction listings;
  • Cultivating a higher-level view of project finances and working towards continuous improvement on forecast accuracy;
  • Supporting preparation of any contract change requests;
  • Ensuring all project information is up-to-date into the company's systems;
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field;
  • Experience working with large budgets, program management, grant-making, business, finance, accounting or a related field;
  • Effective communication and excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
  • A high level of computer literacy and strong experience with Microsoft Office products;
  • The ability to deal appropriately with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality;
  • Financial acumen and the ability to interpret and analyze financial reports;
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to counterparts on all levels of hierarchy.
