Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional procurement strategies aligned with the globally defined vision.
  • Cultivate collaboration between procurement category management and group sites to drive operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the procurement network, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Publish regular updates on mid-term strategy to inform global stakeholders.
  • Leverage cross-functional teams to support regional stakeholders on quality, delivery, costs, and risks.
  • Represent the procurement team in projects and business reviews as needed.
  • Analyze procurement spend and ensure accurate categorization within the spend cube.
  • Collaborate with global procurement to identify target vendors and suppliers' geographical footprint.
  • Coordinate strategic sourcing processes, including RFI/RFP/TCO, in alignment with stakeholder-defined scope.
  • Negotiate direct materials and indirect spends, focusing on cost reduction through supplier development and renegotiations.
  • Drive transformation initiatives and deliver savings on managed categories aligned with procurement targets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, foreign trade, or logistics.
  • MBA or master's degree is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement is required.
  • Proficiency in English and advanced Spanish language skills are essential.
  • Visionary leadership, collaboration, and teamwork are crucial.
  • Familiarity with matrix reporting structures is necessary.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines is essential.
  • Willingsness to travel domestically and internationally when necessary.
