Manufacturing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at OraSure Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating equipment and performing quality control checks to ensure the highest standards of our medical diagnostic tests.

• Operate semi-automated and automated equipment in the production area with precision and efficiency.
• Perform on-line inspection of all components/parts produced, taking corrective action and making recommendations to the supervisor as needed.
• Complete all paperwork and equipment logbooks, reviewing other operators' paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Set up and shut down equipment, working closely with the maintenance department to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Provide cross-training to operators on all pieces of equipment in the production area.
• Follow all GMP and company safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in validation of equipment and provide input into development and manufacturing process improvements.

• High school diploma; Associates or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous manufacturing/production work.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills (English) and mathematics skills are required.
• Windows-based computer skills required, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
• Ability to use calculator, balances, and measuring equipment required.
• Mechanical aptitude for general maintenance of equipment required.
• Experience with GMP/ISO manufacturing operations required.

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and twist.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate, adjust, and maintain automated equipment.
