Manufacturing Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our team at OraSure Technologies. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating equipment and assembling medical diagnostic tests with minimal supervision.

• Operate semi-automated and automated equipment in the production area to ensure high-quality products.
• Perform on-line inspection of all components/parts produced and take corrective action as needed.
• Complete all paperwork and equipment logbooks, and review other operator's paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Set up and shut down equipment, and work closely with the maintenance department to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Provide cross-training to operators on all pieces of equipment in the production area.
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in validation of equipment and provide input into development and manufacturing process improvements.

• High school diploma; Associates or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of previous manufacturing/production work.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills (English) and mathematics skills are required.
• Windows-based computer skills required, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel desirable.
• Ability to use calculator, balances, and measuring equipment required.
• Mechanical aptitude for general maintenance of equipment required.
• Experience with GMP/ISO manufacturing operations required.

• Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and twist.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate, adjust, and maintain automated equipment.
