The Customer Solutions Specialist is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in a call center environment. This role involves receiving and handling incoming customer inquiries, taking ownership of issues until the customer's goal or need is achieved.
This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve customer product or service issues efficiently. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with customers, both verbally and in writing.
As a Customer Solutions Specialist, you will work closely with regional customers and sales staff to provide timely and effective support. This includes answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, processing customer orders, and resolving product or service complaints.
Responsibilities:- Maintains ongoing relationships with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, and resolving product or service complaints.
- Processes sales orders and order changes, confirming shipment or delivery dates and cancellations.
- Provides specialty gas and supplies sales and support to customers, as well as other Customer Solutions Specialists and outside sales teams.
- Verifies customer credit status and completes necessary paperwork to issue credits or debits.
- Quotes and assists sales force and management within set parameters.
- Suggests additional or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following established pricing guidelines.
- Provides customers with informational materials such as sales brochures and marketing flyers.
- Responsible for phone inquiries for service calls and part orders.
- High school diploma required; college or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience required.
- Prior industry experience, including knowledge of current company products (hard goods and welding supplies, industrial gas, specialty gas, and medical gas), is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in Specialty Gas/Hydrocarbon industries is required.
- Strong computer skills and ability to multi-task in multiple computer applications are required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer systems and computer applications is necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated is required.
