Environmental Sustainability Specialist

In our quest for a more regenerative and low-carbon world, we are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to spearhead the development and execution of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for our ongoing and future projects.

As a crucial member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to navigate complex sustainability frameworks, structure LCA methodologies for scalability, and produce reliable greenhouse gas (GHG) assessments that feed into our carbon credit issuance process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute high-quality LCAs to quantify the environmental footprint of our supply chain, from rock mining to field application.
  • Establish scalable methodologies and refine LCA frameworks that can be applied efficiently across multiple geographies and project types.
  • Enable InPlanet to meet the strictest carbon market standards, ensuring credibility in the issuance of high-quality carbon removal credits.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Core Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with LCA methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14040/14044 LCA standards and/or GHG accounting protocols.
  • 7+ years of experience in carbon accounting and sustainability impact assessments.

  • High attention to detail—accuracy in sustainability reporting is critical.
  • Solution-oriented mindset—doesn't just point out gaps, but proposes fixes and optimisations.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
