**Job Title:** Senior Counsel Labor
Job Description:
- We are seeking a skilled lawyer to join our team. This role will cover labor and employment issues across Brazil and the Latin America Region, excluding Mexico.
- The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background in international environments.
- They will be expected to work as part of a global Center of Excellence, providing support to all businesses in Brazil and Latin America.
- The Senior Counsel will provide legal advice and support on Labor and Employment law issues, including employee relations, restructuring, equal opportunities, employment litigation, mergers, acquisitions, and collective bargaining obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on Labor and Employment law issues.
- Work effectively with outside counsel where required, and manage external counsel to reduce costs and secure value-added services.
- Drive simplification initiatives and consistent enterprise standards for Labor and Employment support across Brazil and the Latin America region.
- Provide training for the HR and business teams on key employment and compliance risk areas.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer - licensed to practice in Brazil.
- Substantial labor and employment post-qualification experience within Brazil/Latin America, preferably including time spent both with a leading law firm and in-house with a large multinational corporation.
- Demonstrable fluency in English and Portuguese, including ability to draft and negotiate, and present legal and business documents, in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional working Spanish language skills.
