Financial Project Analyst

As part of our global business support team, the Financial Project Analyst will oversee financial performance for assigned projects. The key focus areas include budget management, invoicing, and cash flow.

About This Role
  • This position is responsible for interpreting and investigating financial results for assigned projects
  • We are looking for someone to prepare, reconcile, analyze, and report project KPIs (LOE – level of effort, T&E, 3rd party Budget consumption, milestones acceptance, invoicing and cash receipts status)
  • The ideal candidate will review actual and planned resources, flag discrepancies to project managers
  • This role handles project closeout reconciliations and escalates issues as needed
Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a key contact for interpreting and investigating financial results for assigned projects
  2. Prepare, reconcile, analyze, and report project KPIs (LOE – level of effort, T&E, 3rd party Budget consumption, milestones acceptance, invoicing and cash receipts status)
  3. Review actual and planned resources, flag discrepancies to Project Managers
  4. Handle project closeout reconciliations and escalate issues as needed
  5. Analyze financial and business data for assigned projects and contracts
  6. Coordinate with Project Managers on change orders, project status, resourcing, and budgets
  7. Assist in developing regular financial status reports for projects
  8. Record monthly revenue for contracts and communicate estimates to clients
  9. Monitor subcontractor and vendor contracts, acting as the contact point for external/internal resources
  10. Attend project meetings to support Project Managers and ensure accurate forecasting
  11. Track overall project health, including revenues, gross profit, receivables, and project closeouts
  12. Ensure that operational procedures are being followed by Project Teams
  13. Identify and work with team leads to resolve and/or escalate violations as needed
  14. Validate reports obtained from projects and ensure that the reports are provided on time
  15. Work with project team leads and program directors on operational support needs, set up and lead project meetings
  16. Assist with Resource plan baselines
  17. Review and manage exceptions and escalate to stakeholders as needed
  18. Process and distribute reports, defining tool requirements
  19. Analyze and monitor dashboard reports on every project created monthly
  20. Identify planned projects monthly
  21. Identify projects with Level of Effort (LOE) overage and escalate these to senior management
  22. Schedule invoices and assist in their timely submission
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in financial software and tools
