Fishmate Position Overview

As a member of our marine team, you will play a key role in the production of krill-based products. Our goal is to enhance the nutritional value of feed for aquaculture and livestock, contributing to a more sustainable global food system.

You will work on board our vessels in Antarctica, responsible for all fishing operations during your shift. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in a fast-paced offshore environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fishing operations management while on duty
  • Deck crew command during deck operations related to fishery
  • Reporting and radio equipment support as required by the Captain and 1st officer

Safety Considerations:

  • Awareness of duties according to the 'station bill' and muster lists for life rafts
  • Ensuring safety measures are taken during on-deck operations
  • Wearing safety equipment as required
  • Ensuring all crew wear safety equipment during operations
  • Compliance with HSE MS system, national and international rules, and other safety precautions
  • Participation in drills such as MEDEVAC, oil pollution, firefighting, MOB, and abandon ship drills
  • Active participation in HSE meetings, programs, and event reporting

Additional Tasks:

  • Performing tasks as requested by the Captain and Chief Officer
  • Learning to use ERP systems as required

Required Qualifications:

  • COC Deck Officer certification
  • Medical certificate
  • STCW safety course completion

  • Demonstrated desire for an offshore career
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Ability to work effectively in an international team
  • Openness to new challenges and continuous improvement
  • Systematic, responsible, driven, and self-motivated approach
