Role Responsibilities
As part of SoftwareOne's Global Microsoft Center of Excellence, we identify emerging business opportunities and collaborate closely with our strategic partner, Microsoft, to design innovative and efficient technology solutions. We remain at the forefront of technology trends, establish best practices, and create architectures that expedite solution delivery, ensuring a quicker time-to-value for our clients. In charge of global delivery and (Pre-) sales, we define training and enablement requirements across multiple locations, impacting a substantial workforce. As a credible authority in the Microsoft domain, we share our insights at industry events and webinars.
As the Global Solutions Architect for Microsoft 365 and Security, you will lead the charge in defining, designing, and implementing innovative products and services. Reporting to the Microsoft CoE Lead, you will develop best practices, delivery frameworks, and pioneering approaches for the Microsoft CoE.
This role offers the chance to leverage your extensive expertise in Microsoft 365 and Security, paired with a sharp awareness of market trends, to anticipate demand and drive innovation. You will advocate for a clear and distinct value proposition for SoftwareOne, collaborating with all of SoftwareOne's capabilities and services.
You will work closely with the Global Product Manager for Microsoft Security, who oversees the product roadmap, go-to-market strategies, and sales enablement. Additionally, you will partner with the Demand & Capture organization to define business cases, gather market signals, and expedite investment and partnership decisions.
- Product Design & Innovation: Spearhead the development of repeatable secure Microsoft 365 solutions and accelerators, leveraging ongoing projects and partnerships with Microsoft to create impactful offerings that enhance time-to-value for SoftwareOne clients.
- Strategic Partnership Management: Direct the technological collaboration with Microsoft, including the realization of joint Security offerings, ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of technology and market demands.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Collaborate with internal Centres of Excellence and service units to foster integration and synergy across our initiatives, ensuring a unified approach to solution development, architecture, and delivery.
- Product & Delivery Strategy: Formulate and execute delivery and product strategies that align with our corporate objectives, driving growth and thought leadership in the M365 and Security sectors.
- Delivery Excellence: Enhance our delivery efforts by serving as a trusted advisor in the development of proposals, solution designs, and architectures, particularly for strategic clients and significant projects. Innovate in creating demos, POCs, and presales materials that highlight our value proposition.
- Advanced Advisories: Contribute to our Microsoft Advisory services, utilizing our established methodologies and delivery toolkits while continuously refining our practices based on market trends and feedback.
- SoftwareOne Microsoft Portfolio Development: Foster the growth of our Microsoft 365 and Security Portfolio, establishing global delivery standards and integrating repeatable components to stay ahead of technological advancements.
- Delivery Enablement & Thought Leadership: Design delivery and pre-sales enablement initiatives, providing expertise and knowledge transfer to enhance delivery effectiveness. Establish yourself as a thought leader through contributions to industry consortia and presence at local and international industry events.
Qualifications and Skills
You possess extensive experience in Microsoft Security as a Solution Architect or Professional Services leader. Your background in Security and Microsoft technologies is complemented by a proven track record of education, experimentation, and staying current in the field.
- In-depth understanding and practical experience with both cutting-edge and legacy Security technologies and methodologies, including Entra (and AAD), Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Purview, and Copilot for Security.
- Familiarity with Security concepts such as Zero Trust, Threat Protection, Data Protection, SecOps, and regulations like NIS2, DORA, and CIS A.
- Knowledge of architectural best practices including WAF, CAF, and TOGAF.
- Experience in designing and executing service delivery models.
Language Proficiency: Proficient in English (C1+).
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Ability to take calculated risks and navigate change and uncertainty in a dynamic environment.
Customer-Centric Approach: A deep understanding of customer needs and the market, with a history of anticipating them to create valuable solutions and architectures in the Security domain.
Strategic Vision: Proven ability to set a vision for a global delivery organization and define the strategy to achieve it.
Analytical and Data-Driven: Skilled in gathering and analyzing data, understanding trends, and making informed decisions; adept in business case development and presentation.
Leadership and Collaboration: A demonstrated history of leading and influencing cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments to bring offerings to fruition.
Understanding of Matrix Structures: Strong grasp of matrix organizational dynamics in sales, pre-sales, and delivery domains, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively. Experience working in or with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Professional Services roles; understanding their tools, targets, and motivations.
