We're seeking a talented data scientist who can harness geographic dimensions to uncover hidden patterns and drive business insights. If you're passionate about exploring spatial data and applying machine learning techniques, this role is for you.


The Role
  • We collect and analyze geospatial data from various sources to identify spatial trends and behaviors.
  • We develop and train geospatial models using machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • We design and maintain data pipelines to process and visualize large datasets.
  • We work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate spatial insights into business decisions.
Requirements
  • Strong background in statistics, machine learning, and programming (Python proficiency).
  • Experience working with spatial data formats (shapefiles, GeoJSON) and geospatial libraries (geopandas, spatial R packages).
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas through data visualization and storytelling.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese for effective collaboration and communication.
Nice to Have
  • Background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools and concepts.
  • Experience with spatial statistics/econometrics and geospatial machine learning methods.
  • Knowledge of external data sources (IBGE research, OpenStreetMap, government open datasets).
