Job Title: R&D Mechanical Specialist

The Opportunity

This role will act as a subject matter expert in the domain of Tanks and External Components, contributing to the development and continuous improvement of internal design and verification tools.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance, testing, and debugging of internal design tools to ensure they meet required standards.
  2. Provide technical support to users via hotline or direct contact, addressing their queries and concerns effectively.
  3. Collect feedback from the design engineering community, using it to improve tools and processes.
  4. Support standardization initiatives by implementing technical standards, standard drawings, and other relevant guidelines.
  5. Contribute to training through manuals, courses, workshops, and pilots, enhancing knowledge and skills within the team.
  6. Research and define analytical models for structural calculations, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  7. Verify and validate tools used throughout all stages of the design-to-manufacturing process, guaranteeing their reliability.
  8. Provide technical support to design engineers across global units, facilitating collaboration and information sharing.
  9. Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external standards, procedures, and guidelines, upholding quality and safety standards.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
  2. Experience with PTC Creo Parametric, demonstrating proficiency and expertise.
  3. Familiarity with programming languages, including additional languages for those who have them.
  4. Detailed knowledge of structural simulation tools (FEM), desirable but not essential.
  5. Advanced English language skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
  6. Ability to work in multicultural and remote environments, fostering effective collaboration and teamwork.
  7. Availability for occasional travel, as needed.
  8. Background in the design and manufacturing of power transformers, an advantage but not necessary.
