About the Job

The Commodities Analyst will play a key role in developing and maintaining market intelligence and research flow for our Commodity Insights product.

Key focus areas include providing insights, analysis, analytical commentary, and interpretation of current and future trends in dry bulk commodities markets based on data-driven analytics and comprehensive demand and supply models.

  • Develop and maintain market intelligence and research flow for our Commodity Insights product.
  • Create market scenarios and actionable insights for global trade flow.
  • Provide analysis, analytical commentary, and interpretation of current and future trends in dry bulk commodities including supply and demand analysis.

This role requires a good understanding of market structure and trade dynamics, as well as excellent numeracy/written skills and comfort working with large data sets from unstructured sources.

Responsibilities and Impact

This role will contribute significantly to shaping the direction of our commodity analytics solution, working closely with international teams to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.

  • Partner with analysts around the world, data analytics team, and product management teams.
  • Perform tasks and responsibilities as assigned based on priorities for the team in order to meet/exceed requirements.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and skilled analyst who can bring their expertise in dry bulk commodities market analysis and demand and supply drivers based on a strong understanding of macroeconomics.

  • 5-7 years total commodity market experience with 3+ years experience in dry bulk market analytics or commodities market analytics.
  • Excellent numeracy/written skills and comfortable working with large data sets from unstructured sources.
  • Expert knowledge of dry bulk commodities market analysis and demand and supply drivers based on a strong understanding of macroeconomics.
