About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our autonomous Agile team at Pentasia. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing our software quality and improving the online customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop effective test plans, craft manual and automated test cases, and review user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the development team.
  • Agile Ceremonies: Actively engage in scrum ceremonies to allocate test cases in alignment with the test pyramid philosophy.
  • Testing Coordination: Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to ensure seamless integration within the development process.
  • Technical Leadership: Own the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) for new features, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery through technical leadership.
  • Tool Evolution: Stay at the forefront of testing tools, methodologies, and trends, enhancing and evolving our practices and processes.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree (BS/MS) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related IT field.
  • Hands-on Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Software Engineer in Test.
  • Coding Confidence: Comfortable with programming concepts, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming (C# is a plus).
  • Testing Basics: Familiarity with software QA principles, testing methods, tools, and processes.
  • Web/API Tools: Experience with web browser and API automation tools.
  • Database Know-How: Familiarity with relational databases (like SQL).
  • Agile Understanding: Initial familiarity with Agile and Scrum, with the ability to collaborate effectively with product teams.
  • Curiosity Counts: A naturally curious and enthusiastic individual who enjoys learning.
  • English Communication: Fluency in English (both writing and speaking) to facilitate effective communication within our global team.
