Job Overview:
The Software Asset Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the organization's software assets are properly managed and controlled. This position requires strong technical knowledge of software asset management processes and tools, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and implement software asset management processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify software assets, track licenses, and ensure accurate records are maintained.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and stakeholders to negotiate software contracts and resolve issues.
- Provide training and support to employees on software asset management best practices and policies.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement and make recommendations to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- At least 6-7 years of experience in software asset management, preferably in a large enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of software asset management tools and technologies, including ServiceNow and SharePoint.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
