Government Relations Strategist

The role of Government Relations Strategist will be pivotal in shaping Alibaba's government affairs program in Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective lobbying strategies, foster political relationships, and manage a network of contract lobbyists in key jurisdictions.
  • Purposefully engage with industry and government forums to cultivate influential stakeholders and establish centers of gravity aligned with Alibaba's legislative and regulatory proposals.
  • Manage a comprehensive suite of issues and responsibilities focused on the legislative and regulatory aspects of key business pursuits, including e-commerce, logistics, and cloud services.
  • Establish strong working relationships with global colleagues to develop and implement industry outreach initiatives.
  • Cross-functionally coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with regulations and seamless execution of government messaging.
  • Provide senior executives and colleagues with valuable insights, strategic advice, and informed perspectives on government actions and politics impacting the industry and Alibaba specifically.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in government relations and lobbying.
  • A deep understanding of the Brazilian political landscape and regulatory environment.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
