Localization Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Localization Project Manager to oversee the localization process from initiation to closure. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects and collaborating with stakeholders across various markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, execute, and close localization projects efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, particularly those in LATAM markets, to ensure seamless cross-team collaboration
  • Coordinate with internal requestors and external Language Service Providers (LSPs) to guarantee timely and high-quality delivery of written content
  • Identify potential challenges in source files and implement preventative measures
  • Maintain accurate financial records for each project to ensure expenditure stays within budget
  • Organize training sessions for LSPs to review feedback and troubleshoot project-related issues
  • Propose process improvements and suggest tool and system optimizations to the team

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proven experience in managing language localization projects and collaborating with LSPs in LATAM
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required
  • At least 5 years of localization project management experience
  • Familiarity with computer-aided translation platforms or tools such as SDL Studio, XTM Cloud, or WorldServer
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience working with stakeholders from product, marketing, or technology teams is an asset
