Localization Expert

As a key member of our team, you will drive excellence in localization by collaborating with project managers, external translation providers, and product owners to ensure the highest linguistic and cultural quality of our content. This involves working closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user feedback, ensuring that the language experience remains natural, engaging, and user-friendly.

We are looking for a skilled professional who is fluent in business communication in English and has extensive experience living and working in Brazil. A degree in language or localization-related fields is highly desirable. With at least 3 years of experience in English-Brazilian Portuguese translation, interpretation, or localization, you will be adept at coordinating with local teams and building strong, trust-based relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive localization excellence by collaborating with project managers, external translation providers, and product owners.
  • Ensure top-tier translations by reviewing vendor-delivered content, providing linguistic feedback, and performing translation tasks on demand.
  • Own and optimize language assets by developing and maintaining robust terminology databases, style guides, and translation memories.
  • Establish quality benchmarks for product copy, conducting ongoing linguistic research to refine key vocabulary and ensure alignment with local market expectations.
  • Champion the user experience by working closely with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze user feedback.

Requirements:

  • Native Portuguese speaker with extensive experience living and working in Brazil, fluent in business communication in English.
  • Degree in language or localization-related fields, with strong professional language skills.
  • At least 3 years of experience in English-Brazilian Portuguese translation, interpretation, or localization.
