Job Title: Director, Ecosystem Engineering

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to shape the future of Fortnite by driving foundational systems that support player experience at scale.

  • Lead Technical Vision and Architecture: Set the technical direction for Fortnite's ecosystem systems, ensuring scalability, consistency, and platform evolution.
  • Feature Development: Develop features that span all Fortnite content, partnering with internal teams for system alignment and collaborating with third-party developers for flexible integration.
  • Culture of Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation, inclusion, and engineering excellence, driving platform evolution and stability.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of architecting and building user-facing systems in a live services or platform environment, with strong understanding of scalable backend and client-service patterns, comfort navigating complex user flows, and cross-functional collaboration, leadership, and communication skills. Passion for building intuitive and reliable systems supporting diverse player and developer needs is essential.
