Lead Translator

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality translations that meet the required standards of accuracy and timeliness.

About the Role
  • Project management: plan, manage, and coordinate translation projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Translation: translate software, technical, and multimedia texts into your native language with precision and attention to detail.
  • Review: edit and proofread translations done by other translators to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Linguistic support: provide linguistic support to project managers, clients, and other departments within the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Translating competence: minimum 3 years of professional translation/localization experience, educated to degree level, preferably with a recognized qualification in translation or similar discipline.
  • Linguistic and textual competence: native speaker ability in translation target language, excellent command of required source language, knowledge of major text type conventions for applicable languages.
  • Research competence: knowledge of Internet searching and tools, cultural competence: high-level knowledge of cultural standards associated with source and target languages.
  • Technical competence: high level of computer literacy and related technical competence, advanced knowledge of Translation Memory tools and linguistic technology.
  • Personal competences: motivated self-starter, strong team player, proficient in mentoring other translators, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, advanced organisational and time management skills.
