Audio Team Responsibilities

The audio team raises the quality level of sound in all Epic Games titles and technologies, working closely with a world-class team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement high-quality audio assets for key features
  • Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and implement solutions
  • Utilize Unreal Engine Audio features to enhance game audio capabilities
  • Develop systems and tools to empower content creators
  • Utilize languages like Blueprint, Python, C++, Verse, and others to debug issues
  • Collaborate with designers to resolve implementation issues
  • Document and share knowledge with the audio team
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine components, including scripting, animation, and Sequencer editors
  • Native Unreal Engine Audio workflow experience
  • Experience with game development methodologies
  • Self-motivation, strong communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively debug scripting issues
  • Experience creating high-quality audio assets using a DAW and familiarity with fundamental audio concepts
  • Ability to analyze and deconstruct current games' audio quality and implementation
  • Experience working on AAA game products' audio
