Visual Effects Specialist

What You'll Do

As a Visual Effects Specialist you'll work closely with artists and engineers to craft amazing game visuals and art workflows in Unreal Engine. Using your technical expertise, you'll create and support various visual effects, streamline artist workflows and help bridge the gaps that will expand the gaming ecosystem.

  • Use a variety of techniques and workflows to create stunning visual effects
  • Liaise with the project lead and producer to scope the work required, adding suggestions along the way to improve artistic quality and efficiency
  • Balance multiple tasks, priorities and bugs across various projects
  • Create complex material pipelines to support various visual effects
  • Write and maintain documentation for workflows and tools
  • Confidently execute tasks with minimal oversight
What We Look For
  • A confident individual who can creatively solve problems and adapt quickly to new challenges
  • Adaptable and quick learning, the ideal candidate has a diverse knowledge of other graphics applications to make content and aid workflows
  • A strong eye for detail and extensive knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 is preferred (knowledge of Unity or proprietary software is also valuable)
  • A candidate who takes feedback well and self-critiques their own work
  • An individual who is willing to adapt their work and think outside the box for solutions
  • A passion to continuously improve skills and help others improve theirs
