Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Hard Surface Outsourcing Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting and supervising creative hard surface content provided by outsource partners.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, self-driven, and customer-focused individual with a strong foundation in 3D modeling for both hard and soft surfaces. You will have excellent communication skills, being able to effectively convey complex creative feedback across external vendor locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear creative direction for assets with the HS Director and HS Art Leads.
  • Evaluate, hire, and onboard vendors with Directors, Production, and internal partners.
  • Collect or generate detailed documentation, video reference, and examples of art asset production to support external vendors.
  • Communicate clearly with the outsource partner, ensuring their creative notes and goals are met.
  • Partner with the HS implementation team to ensure outsourced assets are ingested into the pipeline correctly.
  • Deliver high-quality assets for the project, working within the Epic pipeline.

Requirements:

  • Experience in shipping AAA titles across multiple platforms.
  • Experienced in game art asset creation in software packages like Maya, 3ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance, etc.
  • Modeling, creating UVs, and texturing is essential.
  • Must be highly organized, self-driven, customer focused, and a great team player.
  • Must be a clear and concise communicator, able to deliver complex creative feedback.
