Job Description

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Engineering team. As a Tech Lead, you will work closely with our CTO to redefine the mobility ecosystem. Your mission is to create a smart mobility ecosystem through electric vehicles and shared energy sources, ensuring safe environments with affordable prices, no pollution, lower finance interests, and cheaper products with minimal maintenance.

You will lead part of our Engineering team, exploring, discovering, ideating, and measuring solutions in collaboration with Product Designers and Product Managers. You will help engineers take part in the Product Trio, actively participating in business decisions and conversations with our shareholders.

As a leader, you will shape the business, making 1:1s with engineers, helping them improve through radical candid feedback, creating their improvement plans, and hiring new engineers based on business and product needs.

Key responsibilities include improving delivery strategies, day-to-day processes, practices, and systems to enhance engineering excellence for today and the future. You will design, build, and deploy systems focused on quality and reliability, prioritizing testing, monitoring, and observability.

Dedicated time will be allocated for learning and mentoring others. You will guide other engineers to grow, developing their skills and expertise.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with working in a product team collaborating with Product Designers and Product Managers to investigate, ideate, design, build, and measure iterative solutions that add value.
  • Ability to understand business concepts and speak the business language, negotiating and establishing priorities with shareholders.
  • Knowledge about system design, distributed systems, monitoring, alerting, and observability, familiarity with the DevOps culture.
  • Good mentorship skills, experience helping other engineers achieve their goals and improve.
  • Strong expertise in backend development languages, tools, and/or frameworks, such as Kotlin with Spring.
  • Theoretical and practical background, ability, and concern with technical excellence and good practices (TDD, pair programming, refactoring, design patterns, paradigms, etc.).
  • Ability to design CI/CD pipelines and work with a feature flagging culture.
  • Pragmatism for problem-solving, assuming every problem has a simple solution.
  • Structured communication based on facts and data.
  • Excellent level of English; spoken and written.
