Job Overview

This is an opportunity for a seasoned technical leader to shape the future of Linux from small systems up to desktops.

This challenging role demands a high degree of technical expertise and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will lead a distributed team of engineers through talent acquisition, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
  • You will demonstrate sound engineering principles by directly contributing toward your team's goals
  • Support timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs
  • Effectively set and manage expectations with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders
  • Advocate and advance modern software development practices and help develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices
  • Grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with company values

You will meet stakeholders, prioritize requests, plan the roadmap and ensure the team can deliver their goals.

You'll have the opportunity to influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery, and work with your team on strategy and execution.

Requirements:

  • You have experience in leading, managing, coaching and mentoring software developers
  • You are comfortable planning and executing to deliver timely, high quality software
  • You have solid experience working in an agile development environment
  • You have a Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM or similar degree
  • You have experience with embedded software
  • You have experience with Golang, C/C++, and Shell
  • You have a solid understanding of Linux and a modern GNU/Linux distribution, Debian or Ubuntu preferred
