Job Description

The Geographic Information Science Analyst II plays a critical role in creating complex insights that drive monetizable business growth. By leveraging powerful geo analytics, this individual connects live company intelligence to create a competitive edge.


This position is responsible for executing best-in-class global information science analytics efforts aligned with regional strategy, ensuring message clarity and understanding among local businesses. The successful candidate will deliver speed, accuracy, and communication of complex confidence intervals for global information science forecasts, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Run, use, and challenge global information science team analysis, methodologies, and models, such as area survey using satellite images, index analysis, and spatial analysis, to deliver results and intelligence influencing business decisions.
  • Transform broad geographic information science knowledge into actionable business insights, facilitating analysis distribution to internal experts who influence commercial and trading teams locally.
  • Cultivate the skills of global information science analysts to provide real value, assisting them in understanding connections between the team and local business needs, and establishing knowledge of each specific local analysis' value add to the business.

Solve moderately complex issues independently with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.


Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Geography, Cartography, Forest Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Data or System Engineering, or related fields.


Expertise in geospatial data analysis and ability to quickly derive accurate insights from disparate information.


Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and execute under tight timelines and pressure.
