The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as a scientific liaison to the medical/academic community, responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers/professionals (HCPs) to ensure timely dissemination of clinical and scientific information regarding our compounds in an ethical and stakeholder-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop trusting relationships with HCPs through scientific exchange.
- Apply principles of the Scientific Engagement Model (SEM) to enhance interaction quality.
- Incorporate the medical plan into interactions and capture feedback in a CRM system.
- Capture interaction details using analytics reports and CRM system.
- Exchanging scientific information effectively and compliantly with external stakeholders.
- Understand local and regional payers within the geography and their relationships with patient care delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to complete goals within allotted timeframes and deliver high-quality results.
- Initiate, plan, and complete projects in a constantly changing field-based environment.
- Identify issues and create solutions.
- Critically appraise and comprehend medical and scientific literature.
- Present clinical/scientific information credibly in varied settings.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and matrix environments.
Working Conditions:
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Able to travel overnight up to 70%, including occasional weekend travel.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum requirement: advanced biomedical or life sciences degree (Masters, NP, PA).
- Prior experience as a MSL or in other medical affairs roles in the pharma/biotech industry is required.
