Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Financial Strategist to drive our financial planning, analysis, and risk management initiatives in Brazil.

  • The successful candidate will lead the development of comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for our operations.
  • Market trends analysis, profitability projections, and cost-saving opportunities identification in the building materials sector will be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Strategist will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with Brazilian GAAP, tax regulations (e.g., SPED), and international standards (IFRS).
  • Preparing consolidated reports for headquarters and regional leadership in English.

Stakeholder Collaboration

The ideal candidate will partner with procurement, sales, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain costs, act as the financial liaison for APAC/LATAM stakeholders, and leverage language skills for supplier/partner negotiations.

Risk Management

The Financial Strategist will monitor currency exposure, raw material price volatility, and credit risks, implementing robust internal controls to mitigate potential threats.

Team Leadership

Mentoring local finance teams and fostering cross-departmental alignment will be essential aspects of this role.

Qualifications & Skills

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or CPA is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of financial management experience, with 3+ years in building materials, construction, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Brazilian fiscal/tax legislation (e.g., ICMS, PIS/COFINS).
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
  • Advanced Excel/ERP skills (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Highly Preferred

Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and a background in the building materials industry are highly desirable qualities for this role.
