About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Sales Specialist to join our team at Cloudera. As a Cloud Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in selling Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) - Public Cloud to our customers in the Americas region.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the evangelist helping shape customer decisions to buy and adopt Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), serving as a product specialist and trusted advisor to Americas field sales teams.
- Support the RVP's in specific initiatives and projects that drive cloud consumption. Leverage regional Cloud solution architects, customer success, industry managers, support, and engineering teams to assist in these initiatives.
- Drive cloud consumption revenue through sales-led activities such as territory planning, targeted account planning, prospecting and replicating product success at scale.
- Deliver on The Americas CDP Public Cloud targets for onboards, bookings, and consumption. Utilize forecast planning methodologies to assist field teams and customers in strategizing and executing effective consumption planning.
- Influence CDP strategies by providing direct feedback to sales, marketing, and product/engineering on current and future product requirements.
- Understand and leverage advancements in AI and Public Cloud offerings to better serve clients and meet their unique needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 8+ years of exceeding enterprise software sales targets.
- 4+ years of relevant experience with public cloud solutions.
- Practical understanding of the usage and value of the following systems and architectures:
- Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud
- Architectural benefits of SAAS, IAAS, and PAAS platforms
- Hold one or more of the following certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Foundational Certification.
- Proven ability to analyze sales data, predict market trends, customer needs, and identify new opportunities for cloud solutions.
- Fast moving start-up with use case-driven experience.
- Ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of the big data ecosystem, including selling or delivering data warehousing, data engineering, data in motion, operational databases, and/or machine learning technologies.
- Ability to travel within the region.
- BA/BS or equivalent educational background.
